Throws from Belt Grips

Front and Rear Belt Throw Variations

Some attacks from a combination of elbow weave, front belt and rear belt grips. The front belt grip has been one of my most successful grips against high quality competition due to its ability to shift quickly between offense and defense; however the rear grip, either via the Georgian or simply as an addition to the underhook has also served me well, especially when combined with an O-Uchi attack, or Osoto in the case of the Georgian. I have found that it is VERY HARD for my opponents to outrun and step off of my attacks when I have a rear belt grip.
